Jess Wilson has started her first full day as Victorian Liberal leader by refusing to distance her party's climate change policies from its federal counterpart, who was criticised last week for dumping the commitment to net zero emissions.
She also reaffirmed the party's commitment to repeal the state's first treaty with Aboriginal people, which was signed earlier this month.
The federal Liberal Party last week dumped its commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, despite action on climate change being seen as a key issue for younger voters .
Ms Wilson declined to commit to a net zero policy in Victoria but said her party had supported emission reduction legislation in the parliament.
