BILLINGS, Mont. - Some Billings residents are concerned about their high water bills after the city raised water rates in 2024 and the deadline for delinquent payments is approaching.

Some residents like Ed Johnston say their water bills, which were sometimes in the thousands, still don't add up.

A Facebook group formed toward the end of summer in 2024 for other locals to share similar concerns. The group reviewed more then 50 water bills, finding that some had unexplained charges.

The City of Billings said their audits showed no overages.
