CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A jury in the murder trial of two men accused of killing Noda sandwich shop owner Scott Brooks heard key witness testimony Tuesday from the sole woman whose DNA was found at the scene.
That woman, who WBTV is not identifying by name, said in a police interview three months after the murder that Terry Connor Jr. admitted to killing Brooks.
The jury watched portions of that March 2020 interrogation in court on Tuesday.
However, six years after the murder, the witness could not recall the conversation she had with Connor, who is the father of her child, when she testified Tuesday.
A DNA analyst told the court Monday that the woman’s DNA was found on a shell casing at the murder scene.
