SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - The high-profile death of an NFL player who died by suicide is sparking discussions around the country.
The player’s teammates have wondered whether they missed any warning signs. But Dr. Jennifer Baker of Good Dads says warning signs may not always be obvious.
“Some of the people I’ve worked with in therapy gave every impression to most people that they were really on top of things. And they could be really quite a jokester because humor can cover a lot of things,” Baker said. “So you have to look for the little things. Sometimes that might be an indication that they’re not all right and ask.”
Baker says people may need to press further if someone says they’re fine but concerns remain. She suggests saying something like asking why someone has missed regul
