The Palace Theatre in downtown St. Paul is suing Wrecktangle Pizza, alleging the business owes over $1.6 million related to the short-lived Wrestaurant at the Palace venture.

First Avenue and Jam Productions, which co-operate the Palace Theater, chose Wrecktangle Pizza to develop a new restaurant in the former Wild Tymes sports bar space back in 2023.

Wrestaurant at the Palace opened to rave reviews in September that year, with the Wrecktangle team serving Detroit-style pizza and sandwiches and slinging cocktails at the restaurant's 40-seat bar.

By the fall of 2024, Wrestaurant at the Palace had closed, reportedly after the building suffered extensive water damage, and Palace Pub opened in its place this past summer.
