A county lines gang who distributed Class A drugs have been locked up after a mobile phone was the reason for their downfall.

Four people, including two men from Manchester, who were members of the Northwich-based gang have now been jailed for over 12 years following a major investigation.

In June 2024, police became aware of a mobile phone number which was being used to sell illegal drugs in Cheshire.

The mobile had been linked to a number of flare messages, which had been issued advertising the sale of heroin and crack cocaine. Enquiries suggested that the phone was being used by Shaun Tomlinson.
