Montana council tackles overburdened justice system at Missoula meeting

The Montana Criminal Justice Oversight Council, a bipartisan body composed of lawmakers, corrections officials and justice stakeholders, gathered at the University of Montana on Nov. 18 to confront a series of growing issues facing the state’s criminal justice system, including behavioral health gaps and trauma among first responders.
