A plan by a nonprofit group to renovate Joplin's Memorial Hall at a cost of $16.7 million was presented Monday night at a meeting of the Joplin City Council.

The group, Friends of Joplin Memorial Hall, includes businesspeople, representatives of the local hotel industry, arts supporters, former city officials, current and former state officials and veterans, including members of American Legion Post No. 13. ×
