SPOKANE, Wash. — Christmas trees arrived early in downtown Spokane this year, as 180 noble firs now stand ready for sale in the Grocery Outlet parking lot, weeks before Thanksgiving.

Noel Mountain Christmas Tree Farm opens its first Spokane location Tuesday. The locally owned business dedicates a portion of its proceeds to Joya Child and Family Development, a nonprofit that provides pediatric therapy to children with disabilities.

"Besides selling trees and wreaths, we're trying to raise money and donations for the Joya school," said Sheila Brown, who manages the Christmas tree lot.

The partnership stems from the farm owner's personal connection to Joya. His child received services from the organization from birth to age three.
