The widow of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered in 2018 by Saudi agents, said it was “very painful" that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visited the United States on Tuesday.

US President Donald Trump hosted a dinner at the White House for the Saudi prince’s first visit to Washington since Khashoggi was killed inside the kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul.

The meeting between the pair covered key regional and economic issues, including Saudi Arabia’s potential accession to the Abraham Accords and massive commercial investments in the United States. Discussions also included the sale of F-35 fighter jets to Riyadh.
