The league-leading West Kelowna Warriors split a pair of games against the Cranbrook Bucks in B.C. Hockey League play in Cranbrook on the weekend.
Kaslo Ferner, who scored twice—including a shorthanded marker and an empty-netter— as Cranbrook prevailed 4-2 on Friday. Mitch Patrick and Nikolaj Rupi added singles, Rupi’s coming on the power play.
West Kelowna’s goals both came from Dylan Krayer, who scored a pair of power-play markers. In goal, Jason Tremblay stopped 29 of 31 shots for the Bucks, while Bor Glavič turned aside 18 of 21 for the Warriors.
West Kelowna responded emphatically on Saturday with a 7–2 victory, powered by a four-goal performance from Natan Éthier, who scored twice on the power play and once on a penalty shot.
