EDMOND − Voters overwhelmingly approved the renewal of two city sales taxes, one to help pay for running local government, and one now earmarked just for road and street improvements, according to unofficial results from the Oklahoma State Election Board.
Approval was expected. What's happens next exactly has yet to be determined.
"An amazing outcome. I am so proud of our citizens!!!!!" Mayor Mark Nash said by text just after 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, as the last votes were being tabulated but the outcomes were clear.
