Srinagar, Nov 18: Urban Forestry (UF) Division, Srinagar on Tuesday organised a Plantation-cum-Drawing Competition for students from various schools at Bal Van, Zeethyar Srinagar.

The event witnessed participation of around 100 students, who actively took part in plantation activities and expressed their creativity through nature-themed drawings.

On the occasion, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Urban Forestry Srinagar, Dr. Sheikh Mehraj delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of environment and forests. He highlighted the vital role forests play in maintaining ecological balance, mitigating climate change, and enhancing the overall quality of life.
