LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The longest government shutdown in history stemmed from issues revolving around healthcare for Americans. Although the shutdown is officially over, discussions about healthcare persist.
Today, Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) proposed a change he’s hopeful will change lives forever.
“I would argue that Obamacare has not lowered costs and that Americans now perceive it as the Unaffordable Care Act,” Cassidy said.
During a conference call, Cassidy spoke about his issues with the Affordable Care Act.
“The whole issue behind it was how do we address health care affordability, which is clearly critical,” Cassidy said.
