Former world champion Tim Tszyu will make his long-awaited homecoming next month when he takes on undefeated American Anthony Velasquez in a make-or-break encounter in Sydney.
After three world title defeats in his past four fights, Tszyu's career is very much at a crossroad.
Another loss would be catastrophic for his international reputation.
But after dumping long-time trainer Igor Golubev and manager Glen Jennings in a huge shake-up, Tszyu is eager to showcase his qualities after training in Miami under the highly respected Pedro Diaz.
Tszyu enters the high-stakes bout after a turbulent 18-month stretch that included twin defeats to Sebastian Fundora either side of a battering from Bakhram Murtazaliev in Florida last October.
"December 17 is my chance to get back on track," he said
