EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Thunderbolts are on a roll! Jeff Bes’ squad has won its last five games, to improve to 7-and-2, on the season.

Coming into this year, off that first league title in franchise history, some wondered if the Bolts would suffer from a ‘championship hangover’, but that has not been the case.

Instead, they’re off to their best start ever through nine games!

A big reason why has been between the pipes, where new goalie Kristian Stead leads the league with a miniscule 1.48 goals against average, and he’s started in all seven wins.

The Thunderbolts play again this weekend with back-to-back home games Friday and Saturday against the Ice Bears, the team they beat in last year’s championship.
