Braeden Bowman , Ben Hutton , and Shea Theodore all scored, while Akira Schmid made 17 saves for the Golden Knights (9-4-6), who have won two of their last three.
Jonny Brodzinski and Vincent Trocheck scored, while Igor Shesterkin made 23 saves for the Rangers (10-9-2), who had won three of their last four.
Bowman fired a rebound into an open net off a Hertl tip-in attempt on the power play to make it 1-0 at 11:40 of the first period.
Hutton's wrist shot in close beat Shesterkin five-hole to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 lead at 3:23 of the second period.
