PORT HURON – Bloomfield Hills made a late comeback in the second set to sweep Oxford in Tuesday night’s D1 quarterfinal at SC4 Fieldhouse that simultaneously punched the program’s first-ever ticket to a Final Four.

“I’m so excited, I know my team’s so excited, and I think it’s just really awesome that we get to do it with this group, because this group is super special,” Bloomfield Hills junior Brynn Wilcox said after the win, which came by scores of 25-13, 27-25 and 25-19.

Though a 10-1 run midway through the first set allowed the second-ranked Black Hawks to coast to winning it, Oxford turned up the heat and showed why it belonged in the next game.
