Police say a man intentionally struck a Miami Beach officer with his electric scooter, leaving the officer with a hairline fracture. The suspect allegedly accelerated into the officer after being stopped for illegally operating the scooter near the 7100 block of Collins Avenue, then fled through rush‑hour traffic before being taken into custody.
