SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Curling Olympic Trials wrapped up Sunday night at the Premier Center. This was another big-time event for Sioux Falls and we had a major upset.

John Schuster and his team won’t be going to Italy and the 2018 gold medalist has become a fixture at the Olympic Games.

But he had a great time in Sioux Falls and couldn’t have been more impressed with his time here.

John Schuster, 2018 Gold Medalist says, “It’s a perfect upper Midwest town and man, people showed up and were at these games all week and when playoffs rolled around I think Sioux Falls can be very proud of the people that showed up. And this is an absolutely incredible arena. I can’t believe it’s in a town of a couple hundred thousand. This is an arena that an NHL team could play in.”
