The Met Office has urged people to carry a string of items on them as the UK snow storm hits. A Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice kicked in from midnight TODAY - and lasts until 11:59pm on Thursday.
There is a mixture of amber and yellow weather warnings on Wednesday, November 19, and Thursday, November 20. Drivers heading out on the roads have been issued strict guidance from the Met Office ahead of the downturn in conditions.
Road users should make sure they have warm clothing , food and water, a torch, warning triangle, hi-vis vest, and de-icer. The six items are imperative as the weather turns wintry.
