Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport will suspend all runway operations for six hours on 20 November 2025, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, the airport operator said on Thursday.
Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) announced that the planned closure is aimed at ensuring continued safety, reliability and adherence to global aviation standards. The airport has two intersecting runways — the main runway 09/27 and the secondary runway 14/32 — which together handle around 950 flights a day, making it the second-busiest airport in India after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
