A German shepherd who spent her days spinning in circles at a California shelter has finally found a home after 234 days.
Mabel, 5, was spotted on social media by a family in Alaska , who arranged for her to make the 2,400 mile journey from Orange County, California, to her new life up north. A video of her final day at the shelter , posted by volunteer Gabriella Conti (@ pawsitivelyoc ) garnered 88,600 views on Instagram.
“Mabel really stuck out to me in the rows of dogs . She was so stressed, but once she got out of her kennel, she loved to lay in the kiddie pool and play with volunteers. I could tell she would make an incredible family dog and a very loyal companion. It was my mission to get her seen by someone that would actually adopt her. So posted her to social media,” C
