Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor will observe a day-long silent fast (maun upwas) at Gandhi Bhitiharwa Ashram in Bihar’s West Champaran district on Thursday, November 20, as atonement for the failure of his party in the recent elections.

“Despite working hard for three years, why have we failed to convey our message to the people of Bihar? For self-reflection and atonement, a one-day fast will be observed at Gandhi Ashram, Bhitiharwa," the party said in a social media post.

The strategist-turned-politician would observe the fast on Thursday from 11 am, on the same day when JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar would take oath as Bihar’s Chief Minister for the 10th time at Patna’s iconic Gandhi Maidan.
