Rachel Reeves is set to hit millions of people in Britain with tax rises in her Budget.
The Chancellor recently did a screeching U-turn on her plan to break the flagship tax pledge in Labour ’s manifesto in order to raise the rate of income tax.
Instead, she is now expected to announce a broader range of tax changes in the Budget on November 26 than initially planned as she seeks to plug a shortfall of around £20 billion.
