(Spirit Lake, ND) — A 26-year-old Warwick man is being sentenced to prison for sex crimes on the Spirit Lake Reservation. The U.S. Attorney’s Office District of North Dakota said Jordain Smith was sentenced to 20 years in prison, followed by 25 years of supervised release, for sexual abuse of an incapacitated victim and sexual abuse of a minor. He was charged in 2023 for sexually abusing two girls and having material involving the sexual exploitation of one of them. The case was handled as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative that aims to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
