CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police said five armed robberies early Wednesday morning were part of a string of robberies over the last month.

A woman said three armed suspects held her at gunpoint in Little Village. Just down the road, a similar scene played out, where police say one man was robbed and forced into a vehicle.

The 20-year-old woman who did not want to be identified, said she was dropping someone off near 30th Street and Komensky Avenue around 2 a.m. when suddenly a vehicle pulled up with three armed suspects.

"As soon as I was about to drive off, this car just pulls right in front of me out of nowhere. And it was just way too fast," she said.
