Two people were arrested Wednesday following reports of gunshots fired at a business on St-Laurent Blvd. near Prince-Arthur St. in Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, police say. Police aren’t reporting any injuries.

Around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Montreal police received several 911 calls reporting the incident, spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils said.

She said police found shell casings and that there were bullet impacts on the front window of the business. The suspects “fled the scene before the police arrived,” Chèvrefils said.

After interviews with witnesses and a crime scene investigation that involved the canine unit, Chèvrefils said police identified and arrested two suspects — a 16-year-old and a 20-year-old.
