The guns in question may be 250 years old, but they remain relevant in discussions about modern firearms law.

The Firearms Research Center at the University of Wyoming will host a conference with the Springfield Armory Thursday and Friday to discuss firearms during the American Revolution. Topics will include the arsenal established in Springfield and ballistics of the 18 th century, to name a few.

The conference is free and open to the public. Attorneys in states that need continuing legal education to maintain their licenses can get credit for attending seminars exploring issues like the colonial militia and disarmament during the Revolution.
