New Delhi: It is not every day that you watch three tiny birds turn into giants of the sky. We’ve been following their tracks since the tagging began on 11 November, and honestly, it has felt like watching a thriller unfold in real time. Every few hours the satellite map refreshed, and you could see three coloured lines stretching further into the ocean, almost like someone was drawing courage on a globe.
Now the story has reached a beautiful point. All three Amur falcons tagged in Manipur have made it across the Arabian Sea and landed safely in Somalia. These birds weigh barely 150 grams, yet they just completed one of the toughest migrations on Earth.
