It is alleged that teacher Shamim Ahmed had been sexually assaulting the student for a considerable period.

A teacher of the Kaptanpur 1418 No. Tilka Natun Basti Lower Primary School in Binnakandi Ghat area in the Lakhimpur subdivision in Assam’s Cachar district has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old student for a long time.

The accused teacher has been identified as Shamim Ahmed.

It is alleged that teacher Shamim Ahmed had been sexually assaulting the student for a considerable period.

The matter came to light after the child disclosed the abuse, prompting immediate police action.

Following the complaint, Lakhimpur Police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested Shamim Ahmed.

He is currently undergoing question
