WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a 31-year-old man in Kansas who is wanted for belonging to a terrorist organization in Uzbekistan.
According to DHS, authorities in Uzbekistan issued an arrest warrant for Akhror Bozorov in 2022. He is accused of distributing terrorist propaganda online that calls for jihad and of recruiting individuals to join the jihad movement.
DHS said Bozorov entered the United States illegally in February 2023. He was initially arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol but was released shortly thereafter.
ICE apprehended Bozorov in Kansas on November 9 while he was working as a commercial truck driver. He had been issued a commercial driver’s license (CDL) out o
