PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The School District of Philadelphia is asking for input from the families of students, as it decides which schools could close or merge.
The district originally said the school board would vote on which buildings to close, re-purpose or reconstruct by the end of the year.
But instead, they've launched a public feedback period , with an online survey starting this week.
The district is trying to determine which of the ageing facilities should be modernized, merged or closed.
The final recommendations will then go before the board of education this winter.
