A 28-year-old Guelph man is facing charges after three people were injured during a dispute at a west-end home.
Guelph police said on Tuesday, just after 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home near Paisley Road and Stephanie Drive where a family dispute resulted in a knife being “briefly” drawn and damage was caused to the main floor of the residence.
The suspect fled before police arrived but was found nearby and arrested. A couple in their 50s and a woman in her 20s had minor injuries, police said.
The man was charged with assault with a weapon, assault, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and mischief under $5,000.
He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
