CLEVELAND, Ohio — It has been more than 20 years since Villa Angela-St. Joseph has won a regional championship in football.

Neither Rocky River nor Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy have done it.

At least one of those three teams will do so Friday night and claim a spot in the OHSAA Division III state semifinals. Two will get there if Rocky River can upset Toledo Central Catholic, which has made three straight state finals and made it to last year’s title game.

The road to Canton and the state championships are nearing a conclusion. Just three weeks remain in the season. Here is a look at what is in front of VASJ, CVCA and Rocky River:
