A question about actress Minka Kelly's relationship with singer Dan Reynolds prompted an awkward interaction with Jenna Bush Hager.
The "Friday Night Lights" alum, during an appearance on "Today with Jenna & Friends" Tuesday, Nov. 19, joined Bush Hager and guest host Olivia Munn to discuss her upcoming holiday film "Champagne Problems." But after discussing the film and the holidays, Bush Hager transitioned to a question on Kelly's personal life, leading the actress to appear surprised and agitated.
"Speaking about the holidays and love in this romcom, you have a very big love in your life right now," Bush Hager, 43, began. "Talk about your relationship if you feel comfortable."
The news personality asked about a "beautiful" birthday message the "Ransom Canyon" star made about the Imagine Dragons singer, to which the actress agreed before admitting, "I feel very lucky. He's a really good guy."
Bush Hager laughed nervously before concluding, "Sounds like you don't want to talk about it. That's fine."
Munn then covered her face with a card before jumping into the conversation to talk about Reynolds, 38, in general.
"I will say this, I love Dan, I did his music video. It was the first thing I did after COVID," Munn, 45, said. "I was actually pregnant, and no one had known yet. But anyways, he was so kind. I love the whole band."
"He's the best, they're all the best," Kelly, 45, added, before transitioning back to her film. "I think there's something similar to the movie, in like the theme of love sort of hits you when you least expect it."
Kelly and Reynolds have been dating since 2022. She has previously been romantically linked with Chris Evans, Derek Jeter, Trevor Noah and Jesse Williams.
Reynolds was previously married to singer Aja Volkman. The couple separated twice, in 2018 and 2022, with Volkman filing for divorce in 2023, which was finalized in 2024. The couple share four children.
