NORTH PROVIDENCE – As the Town Council District 2 special election approaches on Dec. 2, says candidate Joe Giammarco, he’s reminding residents that their votes count.

The lifelong resident who retired from the Rhode Island Department Of Transportation’s Highway and Maintenance Division said that in the past, he has participated in and sponsored, with the help of the North Providence High School Honor Society, town cleanups and planting of many trees at no expense to taxpayers.

“I successfully advocated for, and was granted from RIPTA, decorative trash receptacles for our many public bus stops,” he said.

What sets him apart from his opponents, said Giammarco, is his consistent dedication, disciplined work ethic, and history of meaningful, impactful results for the town.
