Two Mandurah breweries have won AHA Hospitality Awards for excellence at the ceremony’s annual gala last week.

The awards were presented at the Hahn Gala Ball at Crown Perth on November 10, in front of more than 1100 guests from across Western Australia’s hospitality industry.

Located in Erskine, Boundary Island Brewing Co was a finalist in the Craft Brewery award section for the past two years but, this year, have taken home their first win for best Casual Pub in the Metropolitan area.

Boundary Island director Cynthia Graham said the win was a huge achievement for the entire team and came as a big surprise.

“With the high calibre of amazing venues in the finals, we did not expect to take out the award. When they announced our name, we were genuinely shocked,” Ms Watson said.
