Compulsive online pornography habits may be more about digital addiction than sexual appetite, new research suggests, with psychologists identifying binge sessions, tab-jumping and edging as key markers of problematic pornography use (PPU).
The study, led by researchers from Monash University in Australia, the D’Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR) and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil (UFRJ), highlights how excessive time spent on pornography is closely associated with behaviors linked to impulsivity and loss of control.
