LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) - The Lorain Police Department is mourning the loss of beloved K-9 officer Tango.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the Lorain Fraternal Order of Police shared that K-9 Tango had passed away.

“Tango served the community with unwavering loyalty, courage, and heart. His dedication helped keep officers and residents safe, and he will be remembered as a true hero,” the post said. “Our thoughts are with his handler, Sgt. Ehrke and all who knew and loved him.”
