US stocks rise, for now, ahead of a crucial couple of tests for Wall Street

NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. stock market is rising on Wednesday, for now at least, ahead of a huge couple of tests for Wall Street.

The S&P 500 added 0.4% after trimming an earlier jump of 1.1%.
