The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina helped arrest two people on Tuesday in a "major" drug trafficking investigation.

Authorities arrested Jared Dickerson and Chelsea Taylor during a traffic stop.

In that stop, investigators found the following drugs:

1.5 pounds of meth

5 grams of fentanyl

40 grams of cocaine

MDMA

Marijuana

The sheriff's office said Dickerson and Taylor were routinely traveling to Georgia to obtain the drugs for resale in Cherokee County.

Both suspects face several drug trafficking charges. They are in custody at the Pickens County Detention Center without bond.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office worked with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office in Georgia to make the arrests.
