WASHINGTON — The U.S. government has released thousands of newly declassified records tied to Amelia Earhart’s final flight, including her last known radio communications and early search reports following the aviator’s 1937 disappearance.

The National Archives has published over 4,600 pages of material, months after President Donald Trump ordered the release of all government records related to Earhart’s final journey.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said the files include newly declassified National Security Agency records with Earhart’s final transmissions, weather and aircraft conditions, potential search locations and internal investigations conducted in the years that followed.
