He's played a doctor on TV for two popular shows and soon he'll play king.

Actor Noah Wyle will reign as monarch for the Krewe of Orpheus' 2026 Carnival parade, the krewe announced Wednesday.

Wyle, who won an Emmy this year for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as the tortured Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch in HBO's hit medical series " The Pitt ," will lead the Lundi Gras parade on Feb. 16.

Prior to his most recent TV role, Wyle won over an earlier generation of medical drama fans with his portrayal of Dr. John Carter in the genre-defining NBC series "ER."

On Lundi Gras, Wyle will lead a procession of 35 floats with over 1,500 members. The parade's theme will be All The World’s A Stage.
