Whenever people hear that I used to work for the TSA, they have questions, lots of questions, especially around navigating airport security .

They'll ask if they can bring batteries in their carry-on (yes, but I would take them out of your bag and put them into a bin so the TSO (Transportation Security Officer) can see them more easily. Or if it's really true that they can't bring water through the checkpoint. (Yes, that's true. No liquids larger than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters are allowed through checkpoint security.)
