Cam Skattebo’s participation in a staged WWE event on Monday at Madison Square Garden that involved some pushing and shoving between Giants players and WWE Superstars drew a mixed reaction. Some fans loved it, others wished that three weeks post surgery for a gruesome ankle injury Skattebo had avoided anything even remotely dangerous to his recovery.
Giants’ interim head coach Mike Kafka was unperturbed.
“I trust Skatt,” Kafka said on Wednesday.
Kafka said he knew several players were going to the WWE show on Monday.

The big man who steps up behind Skattebo is Giants’ defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris. As Jordan Ranaan pointed out, Robertson-Harris got a rise out of the crowd and nailed his part in the staged melee.
