The Maharashtra government has extended the e-KYC deadline for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana to December 31, citing disruptions caused by recent natural disasters and related difficulties faced by beneficiaries.
State Women and Child Development Minister Aditi S Tatkare said in a social media post that many eligible women were unable to complete the verification process due to these interruptions.
She added that the government took note of the situation “with utmost seriousness” before approving the extension.
