It's the 108th birth anniversary of India's first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. She was born on November 19, 1917, in Allahabad. Gandhi served for three consecutive terms (1966–77) and a fourth term from 1980 until she was assassinated in 1984. She was the daughter of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister.

On this occasion, several leaders paid tributes to the former Prime Minister on Wednesday.
