One of the more tiresome parlour games doing the rounds is when politicians are asked by talk show hosts or journalists to give their definition of a woman.
It is a question that is both self-evident and entirely gratuitous, because there is no way of answering it without enraging people with whom you otherwise have no quibble.
Until now.
After the latest internal machinations of the Victorian Liberal Party elected Jess Wilson as the first woman to lead its party room, there is an updated definition of woman that applies across the state parliament.
