Seeking a second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 , Vanderbilt’s women’s soccer program will host Clemson in a second-round game Thursday at 7 p.m.
Lipscomb, meanwhile, will be seeking its first trip to the Sweet 16 when the Bisons take on Florida State in Washington, D.C., on Thursday at 1 p.m.
Memphis, the third team from the state of Tennessee still alive in the tourney, will seek a third trip to the Sweet 16 in the last four seasons when the Tigers play at TCU on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Vanderbilt (16-3-2), one of four No. 1 seeds in the tournament, will put its 10-game unbeaten streak on the line against the Tigers (8-5-5). The Commodores have not been defeated since falling 2-1 to Texas on Sept. 26, and have outscored their opponents 20-4 during that stretch.
